Meditation

Meditation is a beautiful and perfect state in which there is tremendous light, energy, and humor.

Meditation: A Journey to Enlightenment

Meditation is the practice of expanding awareness and silencing the mind to connect with your deepest self. It enables clarity about what’s right for you and fosters strength, happiness, and ultimately enlightenment. Beyond thoughts and senses lie dimensions of light and perfection. Meditation moves awareness from the physical world to eternal realms, revealing who you truly are.

Through meditation, you can overcome anxiety, fear, and self-doubt, unlocking joy, clarity, and profound self-awareness. This ever awakening state culminates in samadhi—a transcendent experience of cosmic consciousness. With each meditation, the possibility of waking to the pure, lucid state of bodhi, symbolized by the inner buddha, can be ignited, bringing new perspectives akin to the view from the top of the vast Himalayas. Ultimately, the clear light of reality, beyond all perspectives, is experienced as life itself.

Meditation is a simple process but can feel challenging due to the overwhelming energy of an overpopulated and emotionally charged world. Everyone is open and intuitive, constantly influenced by external energies and thoughts. True meditation helps separate your thoughts from others’, fostering stillness and self-awareness.

American Buddhist meditation practice involves:

  1. Using Music as a Guide: Specially designed albums, like “Enlightenment” and “Canyons of Light” by the band Zazen (see Resources), help block external distractions and guide you through higher dimensions. Each track focuses on specific chakras (energy centers), aiding the rise of the kundalini (the primordial energy of existence that exists within each person) from the base of the spine to the third eye.
  2. Posture and Focus: Meditate sitting upright, focusing on one chakra per set of songs—starting with the navel, moving to the heart, and concluding with the third eye. Avoid frustration; simply listen and allow the music to uplift you.
  3. Daily Practice: Begin with shorter sessions and build up to an hour each morning and evening. Morning meditations energize and shield you, while evening sessions refresh and center you.

Meditation with guidance from an enlightened or advanced teacher amplifies these experiences. With or without a teacher, the music from Rama’s band Zazen can act as a proxy, infused with the essence of enlightenment, elevating your consciousness step by step.

Meditation is the key to happiness, creativity, and resilience, opening the door to nirvana and eternal joy. With consistent practice and mindfulness throughout the day, life becomes brighter and more harmonious.

“No one quite knows how it works, meaning it can't be expressed in words. But when you meditate, if you can stop thought or even distance yourself from thought and go into the planes of light, or have the planes of light enter you, you will come out of the meditation knowing things - things that perhaps are inexpressible.”
